Does Tailr invent skills to boost my score?
Never. That is the whole point. Tailr rewrites what is already true about you to match the posting, and lists everything else as a gap. It only adds a keyword after you confirm you actually have it — so your resume survives the interview.
Do I need an account?
Yes — a free one. It takes a few seconds, and it keeps your résumés, dashboard, and history so you can pick up where you left off. Tailoring and the honest match score cost nothing on the free plan.
Which AI models does Tailr work with?
Every plan runs on managed AI by default — nothing to set up. Prefer to use your own provider account? The BYOK plan works with OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and a dozen more providers — xAI, Mistral, DeepSeek, Groq, OpenRouter, Ollama Cloud, and others — plus any OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
Is my resume data safe?
Yes. We never sell your data or train models on your résumé. On the BYOK plan your key is stored on your account, encrypted at rest — never in plaintext, never logged — and used only to run your requests.
How is the ATS score calculated?
Tailr extracts the must-have keywords and responsibilities from the posting and measures honest coverage against your resume. You see how many of the posting's terms you cover, the exact gaps, and a score that updates as you edit.
Will the exported resume parse in real ATS software?
