Privacy & data

Where your résumé and key live, and what we never store.

Where does my résumé go?
Your résumé is processed in memory to generate the tailored draft and score — it isn't written to a file on disk as part of that process. If you're signed in and choose to save it, it's kept in your account's history so you can return to it later; if you're not, it exists only for the duration of your session.
Is my AI key ever logged?
No — a BYOK key is never written to logs. On the BYOK plan it's stored on your Tailr account, encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) — never in plaintext — and used only to run your tailoring requests. (On the managed plans there's no key of yours to handle at all.)
What do you store if I have an account?
An account lets Tailr keep your saved résumés and your generation history so you can come back and pick up where you left off, instead of starting from scratch on every visit.
How do I remove my data?
You can delete individual saved résumés or history entries at any time, or remove everything at once by deleting your account entirely from settings — both are self-serve.
