What format is the export?
Every export is single-column with fully selectable text, and laid out to fit comfortably on one page. You can download it as a PDF or a DOCX — both come out of the same tailored draft, so the content matches either way.
Will it parse in real ATS software?
Yes. The layout deliberately avoids tables, multi-column formatting, text boxes, and images — the formatting choices that most often cause applicant tracking systems to garble or drop content when they parse a résumé.
PDF or DOCX — which should I send?
Send whichever format the employer's application system asks for. Both are built to be equally ATS-clean, so the choice usually comes down to their upload requirements rather than anything about the file itself.
How does one-page fit work?
Tailr tightens spacing and scales the layout as a whole to keep everything on one page, down to a legible floor so type never shrinks past readability. If your content is genuinely too long to fit even at that floor, it stays visible rather than silently overflowing off the page — you'll see it and can trim from there.
