What we use
Today Tailr uses a small amount of browser local storage and does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- tailr_cid — an anonymous device id (local storage) that links your dashboard history to this browser. It contains no personal information.
- Workspace state — your in-progress settings (e.g. the tailoring prompt and formatting choices) may be kept in the browser so the app feels continuous.
These are essential / functional — they make the product work and aren't used to profile you.
What we don't use
- No third-party advertising cookies.
- No cross-site tracking or ad-network pixels.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, broad country/device breakdowns). It is privacy-first and cookieless: it sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not track you across other sites or build a profile of you. There is nothing to opt out of because no personal identifiers are collected. See Cloudflare Web Analytics for details.
Managing it
You can clear local storage anytime from your browser settings. Choosing Log out in the account menu clears the local link to your dashboard history. Blocking storage may reset your dashboard view but won't stop you generating resumes.
Accounts and payments
When you're signed in, Supabase (our accounts provider) sets a sign-in/session cookie or token to keep you logged in. During checkout, Stripe sets its own session cookie to process your payment. Both are functional — they don't track you across other sites. For the privacy-first, cookieless analytics we use, see Analytics above.
